J. Goodison Company was founded in 1999 and incorporated in 2001. It is a veteran-owned small business that has grown from its humble beginnings as a father and son operation to an organization that supports more than 100 full time employees and skilled labor and trade subcontractors. J. Goodison Company was initially a marine services labor painting company. However, over time we grew to be a full services ship repair organization. We performed work on the road all over the eastern seaboard and routinely completed jobs in locations such as Texas and the Great Lakes. In 2016, J. Goodison Company opened its premier shipyard repair facility at its current location in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. We currently provide a full range of services with our 900-ton GTW Travelift to a diversified client list that includes both commercial and government clients.
J. Goodison Company currently completes over 120 major repair jobs per year. The company provides a full range of services that include: Drydock Repairs, Dockside Repairs, Welding and Fitting, UHP Blasting, Painting, Mechanical Repairs, Electrical/Electronic Repairs, as well as 24/7 Emergency Vessel Support.
The Company’s list of clients includes but is not limited to government clients such as the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Navy, NOAA, and the Department of Homeland Security. J. Goodison Company holds a GSA Contract and multiple IDIQ (Indefinitely Delivery Indefinitely Quantity) contracts with the U.S. Coast Guard.
